Marine Toggle Switch – 200mm Epoxy-Sealed Cables – IP67 Waterproof

This toggle switch 12mm is equipped with 200mm cables for easy installation. The stainless steel (INOX316) toggle is designed for maximum corrosion resistance in marine and harsh environments, while the zinc alloy housing ensures mechanical durability. The cables are sealed with epoxy for enhanced protection against moisture and dust.

Contact Configuration – 2NO2NC

The 2NO2NC (2 Normally Open, 2 Normally Closed) configuration provides flexible and versatile control for various electrical systems. With its toggle ss316 long shaft, this switch offers immediate visual feedback, enabling instant decisions during maneuvers. Equipped with Quick-Flick technology and backlighting, it ensures ultra-precise switching, ideal for marine, automotive, and industrial applications.

Features:

✅ Rated for 12V DC, 20A – Ideal for marine and automotive use

✅ EPOXY-SEALED

✅ Designed for rough conditions – IP67 waterproof & corrosion-resistant

This  DPDT switch has four or six wires, arranged as follows:

  • Terminal 2: Positive input (+12V)
  • Terminal 5: Negative input (GND)
  • Terminal 1 and 4: Output 1
  • Terminal 3 and 6: Output 2

Depending on whether you are using a 4-wire or 6-wire configuration, the wiring method will slightly differ.

Switch Configurations: Multi-Position Options

Ref Function Drawing Description Applications Examples in Boats
TSW1 On/Off On/Off Basic single-position on/off functionality. General-purpose switching. Cockpit lights, auxiliary power.
TSW2 (On)/Off momentary (On)/Off momentary Momentary on position with auto-return to off. Temporary activation. Horns, starter switches.
TSW3 On/Off/On On/Off/On Three-position switch with an off state in the middle. Selective control between two modes or systems. Running low or high-pressure water pumps.
TSW4 (On)/Off/(On) momentary (On)/Off/(On) momentary Momentary activation in two directions with auto-return to off. Control systems requiring temporary adjustment. Bow thrusters, trim tabs.
TSW5 On/(On) On/(On) Switch remains on but offers a momentary activation in one direction. Applications needing a brief override of continuous function. Bilge pumps, emergency overrides.

Latching vs. Momentary Behavior

  • Latching (Maintained): The switch stays in its new position until it is manually toggled again. Once flipped, it holds the circuit open or closed.
  • Momentary (Spring-Loaded): The switch only stays active while being held. Once released, it automatically returns to its original position (OFF or neutral).
Ref Photo Latching (Keeps Position) vs. Momentary (Hold to Keep On)
TSW1 On-Off Toggle On-Off (Latching): The switch stays ON or OFF until manually toggled.
TSW2 (On)-Off Toggle (On)-Off (Momentary): The switch turns ON only while held; returns to OFF when released.
TSW3 On-Off-On Toggle On-Off-On (Latching): The switch stays in any of the three positions until manually moved.
TSW4 (On)-Off-(On) Toggle (On)-Off-(On) (Momentary): Both ON positions are momentary; the switch returns to OFF when released.
TSW5 (On)-On Toggle (On)-On (Mixed): One position is latching (ON), while the other position is momentary.

Examples:

  • Latching switches are used for functions that need to stay ON until turned OFF manually, such as navigation lights or bilge pumps.
  • Momentary switches are used for temporary actions like sounding a horn or engaging trim tabs, where the function should stop when released.
